Running shoes

Running shoes are designed for you to run in. They support only forward and backward movements of the foot (eventually from side to side like tennis shoes) but do not give the freedom of move. They are very cushioned to accommodate for stress during the run. They are thus not suitable and even dangerous to wear all day! Avoid buying running shoes to wear to school or to work.

If you absolutely like New Balance shoes that makes footwear for sports go with a walking shoe like New Balance Men’s MW411V2 Walking Shoe. Walking shoes allow for a greater range of movements. They are not ideal for your feet, but better than running shoes and are fashionable.

The best sneakers for high school in our test is PUMA Adult Suede Classic Shoe. It is very popular and never goes out of fashion.

Suede shoes

Suede is a delicate quality leather material that withstands scuffs and scrapes but gets dirty and absorbs moisture. If you have bought suede shoes like Minnetonka Slipper or Clarks Desert Boot treat them with water repellent boot spray, fabric protector or water and stain protector before wearing them regularly.

Also you may buy a brass suede brush and brush them before and after wearing to keep them looking like new.

Another tip is to clean suede shoes buy rubbing them with sand.

If you are looking for scuff resistant school shoes than suede is to the rescue! Choose between sneakers, moccasins or boots.

Wide feet

Not many fashion footwear fit the wide feet. The best shoes for teenagers with wide feet are Minnetonka moccasins and New Balance walking sneakers. Moccasins are very stretchy and can handle much wider feet naturally, while New Balance’s go up to 4E width size (which is very wide).
