High heels is a very beautiful footwear for any woman. If you want to get a lot of compliments and look awesome on a birthday, wedding, Valentine’s day or any other special occasion then you must wear high heels. But we all know how difficult it is to wear shoes with high heels.
This year we did the research and compiled the list of the most comfortable pumps that are easy to walk in, affordable and available for purchase right now.

The most comfortable heels to wear in our test is Wild Diva Women’s Adora Pointy Toe High Heel. They have an ankle strap for an extra support and are great shoes to wear a night out. For all day wear the best shoes are Top Moda Open Toe Crochet High Heel Sandals or Comfort Plus by Predictions Karmen Pump.
The most comfortable heels we could find is a pair of Ollio Women’s High Heel Ribbon Accent Pump with a height of 4.92 inches (12 cm). They have a thick platform, so the height of the heel is not so tall.
How to choose comfortable heels
Many shoes look awesome, but when you try them on they are not comfortable at all. Here are some tips to check that will help you determine if the pump is good to walk in:
- The shoe fits both in length and width. This is more important for high heel shoes as you will need to balance so the shoe must be a good fit.
- The heel is not too far back. If the heel is too far back than the shoe won’t support your weight properly and the center of balance will be misplaced forward. This will force you to lean forward and curve your back while walking. Ideally the center of the shoe heel should be right under you own heel.
- Straps. The strap support and keep your foot in place while you walk so you don’t need to flex your foot in order to hold the shoe. The straps make the process of walking in high heel shoes much easier.
- The shoe’s toe material cover the toes completely. For example, almost all Christian Louboutin shoes are rather uncomfortable to walk in.
Amazon - Thicker sole. Shoes with high heels are much more comfortable with a little bit more cushion at the bottom as the toes bear all the weight of your body. If your shoes doesn’t have a platform try adding a gel insoles or forefoot pads.

Scratches and scuffs
Nice pair of shoes may still get scratched and scuffed even though you wear them carefully. If the outer material of your shoe is very thin, then every scratch will show right through in a very obvious way.
In case of scratches try to touch them up with a permanent marker, liquid leather color pen or shoe polish (not for patent leather).
Scuffs are removed depending on a shoe material type.
Comfortable high heels for wide feet
Many high heel shoes will be comfortable for wide feet naturally especially if they are made of real leather. Leather is a very stretchy material and this will make the shoe fit perfectly after it is broken in.
For people with very wide feet we found several super comfy high heels: Comfort Plus by Predictions Women’s Karmen Pump and Clarks Women’s Brier Dolly Dress Pump. Both are sold in C/D width as well as normal (M) width. Clarks are made of leather and may be stretched even more out.
Expensive heels
Our research show that expensive heels are not more comfortable than regular priced ones. On the contrary, designer shoes like Christian Louboutin or Valentin are more difficult to wear and are more a “sitting and photography” shoes than regular wear. Christian says it himself in this interview on CBS:

Small sizes
We didn’t find any very comfy high heels size 4 or less. There are some beautiful heels for women with small feet.
